I love colour, texture and the feeling of old, smooth wood. I'm a trained interior designer and have been creating in paint, fabric and wood as long as I can remember. I am a huge fan of the original painted finish and feel slightly ill when I see a piece of furniture that's been stripped of its personality and history. I'm currently working in acrylics on canvas and often use faux finishing techniques and skills learned from furniture restoration in my pieces. I tend to work "larger than life" and pick up on details found in common objects.
