Abstract art to me is a visual language where my aim is expose greater truths by using simple colors, forms and shapes in a cooperative manner via symbolism. My larger goal is to inspire further exploration of the subject matter by sighting specific points of view as the springboard. Contrast & flowing movements of my hands as I paint is often in play in my works to accomplish this, showing how individual forces can connect to a greater collective truth without losing independent meaning, instead adding to it.
My Pacifica piece is a good example of my overall processes. Inspired by the island sea waves. The water coming ashore onto land, flowing in its own right and back out to sea over the lava rocks. The light colors of the sea by day and the water in motion at night. A strong yet peaceful and beautiful sea mingling with the world by holdinjg its own as an entity.
*Danielle Davis is an abstract painter who dreams. plays & creates on the island of Hawaii.

I'm a prophetic painter and often find that God has put other images than what I intended into my paintings. Do you see the male for in the center of your painting? It was very obvious to me in looking at the thumbnail image, and when enlarged, although the dots do not look as much like a hooded face as in the smaller image, he is still very apparent. :-)

Oh this sums it up! I've rlaley been enjoying country music lately. The picture of the brockled faced cow is amazing! I would frame that one and put in my living room.
