“Today painters do not have to go to a subject matter outside of themselves. Most modern painters work from a different source. They work from within.” -Pollock. He was referring to the inner most connections of our own emotions and conscience. Whether conscientiously or sub-conscientiously, he was creating from within. Parker approach's painting with this philosophy in mind. Painting is a therapy. Painting is an urge. Painting is experience. Painting is that nervous twitch in a crowded room. Painting allows him to express this
That urge to tell a story without saying or writing anything. He gives the viewer a vague title and let them decide what that implies to their life. The true story of the painting is rarely ever revealed. He admires the feeling and ideas viewers express, while continuously trying to make paintings reflect his inner most thoughts and ideas. He usually draws his concepts from life experiences. That is why people have such a varying opinion and feelings.
Photography is another form of expression that he is currently also exploring. Capturing moments at curious angles with varying forms through-out to make people view the world a different way. To open people's eyes to the world around, and the simple beauty of everyday objects, is the true purpose of his photography.
Born in the year 1984 in Dayton Ohio, and given the name Parker J Fritz, he lived in a small farm house outside Pitsburg Ohio. His family later moved to New Mexico where he spent his adolescence and early adulthood. Growing up was a tough experience in itself, and taught him a lot about life at an early age. Which is where he draw most of his resourcefulness and implied sense of responsibility.
Art provides a challenge. A challenge he takes on full force, creating, and solving it's problems. He enjoys finding creative solutions to artist problems. It's one of the things that keeps him interested in it. The challenge.
