Our interview with Barbra Drasby heard an interesting and thought provoking statement about how she sees the world. It evokes a sense of wonder, "What must that be like? Would we really see the world that differently?" And all we can do is wonder what that must be like.
The art you see is viewed from an artist who sees the world in moving texture patterns. This has created a strong bond between the hand & the pen to produce my eclectic linograph style of drawing.
Recently I've been exploring adding color to my works. As time goes on a person matures and so my art grows.
Van Gogh has been my favorite artist since Jr. High when I was first exposed to his art. It was the way he applied his paint in thick swirling layers of movement which caught my eye. Vincent was a misunderstood explorer with a brush in his hand. I applaus his determination of never giving up creating even thought the artworld didn't open up their arms while he was alive and cherish him like the other fathers of art from his time period.
When I received the phone call from Silverstein Gallery asking me if I would sell my Not-for-Sale entry. It was then I realized hey kiddo you must be an artist and have talent of some kind.
I don't consider myself a professional artist as of yet that is not until my works of art are shown in an acclaimed Art Museum. However I have been an artist since the very first time I picked up a crayon.
As of now I'm busy working on a Peace Series of Drawings, and I've recently started a Series of drawing called Urban Dwellers. Beyond this I'm always creating work for my Print on Demand Galleries. The biggest thrill recently receiving an offer to illustrate a child's book. This is a childhood dream come true. So to say the least my plans are to keep very busy with my art.
My visions is to watch my art mature and perhaps reach a plateau which no one else has explored.
Right now in the virtual world.
