Your Donations will Expand Functionality and Service
Community of Artists and Art Lovers are coming together to support a strong community. The funds donated will enhance the features and functions of the site, empowering more growth and sales of art by the community artists.
The Early Days
We saw the community explode to more than 5,000 members in only a month during 2009. Since then, the community has surprised the 25,000 member mark. With the early days seeing such a massive growth, it was decided to launch a community site for the artist and art lover alike.
The Community Site
With much time spent working on a core technology and a team I'd previously worked with, the initial launch of the community site borrowed from their systems and development. Without the required level of skills to further develop, let alone maintain it at its current level, the site had to be relinquished to appease my sanity.
What's Next?
Finding an alternative on a frayed shoestring budget has been nothing short of challenging. We're still testing each system and then going from there. The more content that gets online, the more success we're experiencing with new software being tested. This one is going further than previous.
Donations for the Best
There are additional Add-On features that come at a cost. Currently, we need to look at modules that enhance the Membership and Member Profiles, as well as eCommerce options and art, image portfolios. Your donations make it possible to purchase these modules, and hire the consultant to assist in implementation.
