Erin Hanson: The Orange Show
The Exploration of Color and Vivid Motion
Los Angeles-based, Erin Hanson, will be presenting her anticipated collection of impressionist landscapes, all with orange as the predominant color. From dusky rock desert scapes to apricot wildflowers to sherbet sunsets, Hanson’s lively brush strokes and vivid breath new life into each.
I am always challenging myself as a painter… after ten years of experimenting in oils I have developed a unique style of painting called Open Impressionism. To continue to grow as an artist, I am always looking for new subjects to paint and new ways of applying my paint to capture light and color. In this show, for the first time, I will be limiting my palette to one of predominately orange. This limiting factor will let me express myself on the canvas in a whole new way. ~ Erin Hanson
Erin Hanson: The Orange Collection offers an exploration of solidarity and examination of color rhythm, with a nod to the monochromatic works of Picasso and Color Field inspiration by Ronnie Landfield.
