A Light Beyond These Woods by Dawn Rodger
A light-filled abstract landscape using high quality oil paint on hand stretched and primed gallery wrapped canvas. The picture is built up by a number of glazes of blues, purples and greens over dripped paint and metal leaf. The title references a Nanci Griffith song concerning the hope and comfort of opportunities just beyond our grasp.
This picture has been painted on the sides so it is ready to hang without a frame if you prefer. A coat of varnish has been applied to protect the paint surface. The work is signed on the front. A catalogued certificate of authenticity is attached to the reverse.
