Guo Pei on mannequins. I was intrigued to capture the fur, the glitter dress, and the complex folds and shadows of the billowing skirt. I usused my usualy acrylic and pencil crayon on paper. I had some leftover crystals I coloured with pencil crayon on paper which didn’t fit into another drawing as well as I’d thought, but the lowers halves of them seemed to fit okay with the clothes. I don’t know why. I compose intuitively. So I cut them out, got a 12×9″ canvas to accommodate both, cut out the paper the figures were on, then tried to match the background colour on the canvas with what I’d chosen for the paper. Obviously, I didn’t recall the colour mix exactly. But, there it is.
