"one of the key figures in the history of jazz" - Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, "the most revered jazz trumpeter of all time, not to mention one of the most important musicians of the 20th century" - Rolling Stone.
Miles Davis epitomized cool in his sound, his conversations, and his persona and has always attracted my artistic eye and my musical ear.
I painted the background in acrylic with medium to large brushes then sketched out the iconic image in charcoal. I then used oil paint sticks to draw, paint and fingertip blend while listening to the album Kind of Blue.
