Oakridge Mall in Vancouver is being dug up and rebuilt into a 2nd downtown, so says the info-centre. An architect’s model portrays the scope of this stupefyingly ambitious project. Also on display is part of a condominium – beautiful, but a closet. Hope the real homes are bigger. I photographed the balcony, jutting into some greenery, and later used it as a context for 2 Guo Pei outfits from the VAG. (Vancouver Art Gallery). I used my usual variety of materials: pencil, acrylic, marker, pencil crayon. Done on paper; glued onto at 10×10″ block. I submitted it for the 2020 Ten Squared show, but this one wasn’t juried in. Earthy tones contrasted with stark whites and blue.
