My painting expresses understanding of Shambhala not as a mystical land hidden somewhere in the Himalaya mountains, but refers to more subtle interpretation of what Shambhala represents in terms of one's own body and mind. This inner understanding of Shambhala derives from Sanskrit texts and is thought to mean "place of peace/tranquility/happiness."
This is an original, one-of a kind artwork painted in impasto technique using palette knife and thickened acrylic paints. This technique not only creates a three-dimensional impression, but it also adds richness and dramatic effect to the artwork. Dimensions: 30" x 24" x 1.5" in. Painted on a high-quality gallery wrapped canvas, no frame required. Ready to hang. Signed on the front. Glossed and covered with UV light rays, dust, and moisture resistant coatings.
