STILL WINE: A BALLON DE ROUGE
The meeting had been arranged for 6.30 p.m. at the village inn that late summer evening. He had arrived a good half hour early and had taken his place on the old bench. His mind gave him little respite and kept telling him what to do with a conversation that had started on his dating app a few months ago. With a red balloon in hand, thoughtful and melancholy, he pondered what topics might interest this as yet unknown woman and those he might be better off avoiding.
