Six panels, ink and oil on canvas over wood panel, arranged for exhibition as a set.
While working on a series of Japanese cosplayer pictures (unpublished), I happened to be reading Pepy's diary - an important primary source of information on the restoration of the Stuart monarchy – and I began to revisit some of the paintings of the period. I decided that the exotic Stuarts could be viewed in a number of ways as accomplished, cosplayer celebrities. Ink, oil and color with encaustic glaze on canvas over wood panel, each panel is signed verso with a catalog number. (Private Collection, Japan). The suite is among the last of my works catalogued using the AOY prefix.
