Andrea Rogers began her art career in printmaking, starting with woodcuts, linocuts and eventually developing skills in intaglio, receiving a grant from Alpha Delta Kappa sorority. This led to graduate work at ASU. The following year she set up a studio and taught workshops in monoprint. Two years were spent as an Artist in Residence at Shemer Art Center in Phoenix.
An educator, she taught English to high schoolers while developing her ability in both oil and acrylic.
During the past eight years she has continued painting and also learning ceramics.
She feels that art is a mirror to the soul and is as necessary as food and water.
