It means so much to me when someone connects with my artwork. I take great pride in having my work displayed in someones home or work space. One of my favorite things is hearing that my buyers are happy with the piece they’ve received from me. I’ve been painting since I was very young. My mother was a watercolor artist who inspired me. I paint a lot of mermaids because I love women, the ocean and fantasy. Mermaids are strong and feminine, yet incredibly playful. I enjoy using acrylic paint because of the way it can be manipulated. My work always begins with an idea followed by a simple curved line. I live with my husband and two sons in Northern California who continue to support me. We share our home with our four rescue dogs whom keep me company in the studio.
A bit about my work:
My artwork has been shown in galleries nationally. It can be seen in Universal Studio movies such as in the film “Sisters” staring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. My art has also been highlighted on television networks with interior design experts. And my work has been published in Laguna Beach Magazine, in the Golden Thread Project book by The Golden Thread Gallery and on CD covers for musical artists. I’ve painted large mermaid murals for businesses in The California Bay Area. I’m also a teaching Artist with the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission. I love what I do.
